Frequently Asked Questions

What is FLGS?

FLGS stands for Friendly Louisville Game Store.  Over the years I have noticed a need for a some sort of database that contains the information for all of the greater Louisville game stores.  After maintaining a post on Reddit for the last couple of years I have decided the time has come to make a website.  At the moment the site just collects information on the greater Louisville area but should it prove useful I can segue it to be a national reference by simply adding some more functionality and changing the name to Friendly Local Game Store.

What do you consider the greater Louisville area?

I'm considering everything within a 50 mile radius of Louisville.  So east to west that would include Uniontown Indiana to Frankfort Kentucky.  North to south would include Seymour Indiana to Elizabethtown Kentucky.  If you have a game store in that area please contact me and I'll include you in the database.

What type of stores do you include?

At the moment I am including any store that carries comics, games, miniatures, or miniature accessories.  This includes stores that don't carry games but maybe carry paints or flocking supplies.  I'm also including stores that cater to gaming collectibles or older products that are discontinued.

Which stores do you exclude?

Any big box stores or nationwide chains. No Walmarts, Targets, and so on.  If a store only sells toys or collectibles but nothing gaming.  For example a store that focuses only on Funko Pops.  There will be some minor exceptions to this. For example the Games Workshop store will be listed even though technically it's a worldwide chain.  I feel it specifically caters to our hobby and only our hobby, so it should be included.

What if there is a store you missed or a Nerdy Link I think should be included?

If you know of a store I missed you are welcomed to contact me and let me know.  I'll look into it and if I think it fits I'll add it.  Same goes for Nerdy Links.

What if I disagree with a store included/excluded from your list?

Well..... it's not your list.  You're welcomed to reach out to me but I make the final decisions and if you continue to disagree you can always go make your own list.

How can I contact you?

You're welcomed to toss me an email at [email protected].  I will try and reply promptly but I'm only one person with a real job outside of this website so have a little patience.
